Vinyl tiled floor edging broken needs filling

We are going to refloor our sitting room with laminate flooring but on removal of the carpet we found the tiles have broken on the edges where the wooden carpet strip has been removed. The broken edge is only an inch or two wide and I was wondering what we can use to fill it with before laying the new floor?
