How do you check qualifications on your rated tradesman.

I need to check qualifications of a rated tradesman. I have been given a quote and he is asking for a 50% deposit. Is this correct. The tradesman name was Lenny. I would like your opinion. The tradesman was not the person on the rated persons page Ukwoodworxs. The deposit is a large amount of money

Don’t do it unless your sure of their abilities and check their I.d and ask to see work they have done previously.

I think that would bring up some red flags. I would avoid that tradesman for your own peace of mind.
