When you hire the contractor make it clear you must have a proper headed receipt with all details as it is the council that need to see it
Receipt for work done on headed paper and signed.

I would like to know if the tradesperson is under any obligation to provide me with a proper receipt for me to hand to Dundee district Council to allow me to be reimbursed for the work which was carried out. We had to pay cash and a proper receipt is required fro Care and Repair dundee
