Unfinished job

Posted by Sally Williams, on
Hi my name is Sally Williams. I recently posted a job on rated people and was contacted through the site by tree surgeons who came and did the job for me on Weds 6th Feb. They were unable to take away all the conifers that had been cut down because the light was running out and they had no more room in their vehicle to grind down any more of the cut down trees. Therefore I am still left with a massive pile of logs/heavy branches in my garden which have still to be removed. It is still a good few hours work I would have thought. I paid in full for this job on the day as assumed it would not be an issue for them to come back and finish it. I contacted them a week after the job to see when they would return and they assured me they hadn't forgotten me but that they just needed a spare afternoon/morning amongst their busy schedule. It is now 3 weeks since they did the job and I have still not heard when they will be back. I want your advice please on whether a) I am within my rights to chase again as I am becoming extremely impatient now and b) if they do not return I can do anything about it? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Mrs Williams it goes without saying of course your within your right to complain you’ve paid for a job to be done and 3 weeks without it being completed is quite frankly ridiculous ring them one more time and notify them of your intentions to take the matter further but let that be there last chance you’ve been more than patient enough and if the waste still isn’t removed you should contact trading standards to seek further advice and also notify rated people as to what they have done so they can be removed from the site

What would you like to do now?
