Wow, you have had some bad advise, you shoulde never of had to spend that much money on the boiler, a new one would have only cost as little as £605 including VAT I would suggest you either have a problem with your flow switch or possibly some movement in your cold mains so shock arrestor may help, I would not spend any more money on the boiler.
