No Central heating (but do have hot water) after thermostat removed

Posted by Sarah Goodrum, on
Had a thermostat removed professionally as it was old, redundant and not working. Now If I turn on the hot water using the control panel (in a different room), the boiler fires up fine as before. However If I turn on the central heating nothing happens so currently have no heating. Makes me wonder if a connection between the control panel and the boiler has been broken as a result of the thermostat being removed? What can I do? It's a glow worm boiler (not combi)
