Systems boiler pressure

Posted by Robiul Islam, on
Systems boiler pressure is going down every 2 days. No Leaks found at all. Could there be an issue with a possible pump inside the boiler? Also central heating radiators only heat up at the top. If I try to air them no air comes out and the within seconds the boiler pressure goes to zero.

Hi Robiul Sounds like the pressure vessel may need recharging. Just check that the pressure relief valve is not dripping. Also when the heating is off the pressure should be around 1 bar. It will go up to around 2 bar when the heating is on. If the radiators are cold at the bottom it may be a build up of sludge in the radiators. May need a power flush. Sam (eps)
