Radiator problems

Posted by Neal Allen, on
All the radiators in my house are hot except the one in the dining room. How do I rectify this problem? It has never happened before

Hi Neal There may be air in the radiator. I would try to bleed the radiator from the bleep nipple at the top of the radiator when the heating is off. If you have a combi boiler the pressure within the system should be around 1 bar. If the heating system is a conventional type you will not have to top up any pressure as the system is gravity fed. If there is no air coming out of the radiator it may be down to the fact that one of the valves on the radiator is turned off. If they are open I would try to shut off the other radiators on the system to blast heat to this one. The radiators in the house may need balancing. Hope this helps. Sam (eps)

Hello Neal, At the top of the rad there is a valve, open it slowly just to let a little air out, when the air stops tighten it back up again. Regards Michael
