Fitting Thermostatic radiator valves

Posted by Simon Michaels, on
We'd like to fit thermostatic valves to half a dozen radiators, as some rooms get too hot. We have a conventional system, with hot and cold tanks in the loft. Any idea on costs? Thanks.

Hi Simon I would recommend that you have Danfoss thermostatic valves installed. They are around £12 each. Labour price for 6 valves will be around £90 material and £200 labour. It is vitally important that the installer adds an inhibitor chemical after the trvs are installed. The labour price may seem a bit high but it is not a very easy job as sometimes there are issues with airlocks in this type of system as it is gravity fed fully pumped and not pressurised. May be worth considering installing a magnetic filter at the same time as the trvs are installed. Hope this helps. Sam (eps)

Hi Simon I would recomend to post a job on main website because some of a job needs to be seen before any advice is given. Our service is free of charge with no obligation quote and our tradesmans are happy to help with every aspects of jobs. I would strongly recomend to post a job on Rated People home page then 3 companies will get in touch then you would be able to choose the right person as you would receive an e mail with a link to tradesman account where you would see a pictures and you will read revious from previous customers. I hope this will help Best regards Rafal
