Sounds like you have a sticking pump
Boiler starts but pump takes 5 minutes to start.

Boiler starts but pump doesn't start for about 5 minutes causing banging noises. After about 5 minutes the pump starts and everything works fine, heating and hot water all ok. Overrun also works. Any ideas?

Sounds like a pump relay sticking then releasing
