No hot water - full immersion heater

Hi I have a full rate immersion boiler, it's turned on by a switch with a small light above it (in the kitchen). Since the light went off, we've lost hot water. job for electrician or plumber? I opened the switch but cannot see a fuse there, there is a white box in the middle... The wires appear intact.
