there not obsolete but changing to copper moves the pressure sensor to a better position so worth doing two hours work max

I have a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831 VUW 316 3-5 R1 It is still fitted with the 2 original 'rubber' pipes (Part No. 180946) which join the connection tubes. A later modification made these pipes obsolete and replaced them with copper (?). Three questions please ? 1. Does anyone know why these rubber pipes were made obsolete ? 2. How long (in hours) does it take an Engineer to replace them ?
