Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24i Junior

Posted by Joan Huxham, on
My boiler was installed in November 2011. It is losing pressure and I have been advised that it needs a new expansion vessel. Is this to be expected in a boiler that is not yet 5 years old? I have also been advised that it has not been installed with the requisite filter(s). I'm trying to decide whether it is worthwhile having it repaired or whether I should opt for a new one with a 10 year warranty. My boiler had only a 2 year warranty.

Hi Joan, you need to have a gas safe engineer look at the boiler in detail as its unusual that an expansion vessel would fail on a Worcester after just 5 years. It is good practice to fit a magnetic / partial filter these days so that's good advice. Good luck.
