Want to keep immersion heater,but need central heating,which is best

Want to keep newish immersion heater,as backup,but need new gas central heating system to replace old system,that no parts are available anymore,which system is best,without disconnecting immersion,also will I need to replace radiators and pipes,as havnt been used in 10 years,but believe there are efficient flushing reagents,now which will renew radiators,other prob I have,is when water turned off from main tap,downstairs,and tank upstairs,pipes get airlocked,and very difficult to get water through upstairs and downstairs taps,when water re put on
