Hi David The flue should not exit through the slates , As the flue liner is for lining a flue ! You should not be able to see any of the stainless steel liner . Should go up the chimney with the correct terminal on the top .

What is the average cost to replace flue liner , we already have a flue liner in place but have been told it needs replacing its a normal size semi and the flue exits through the slates not via a chimney pot
