Posted by Sandra Hilton, on
Hi, im moving is six weeks or so and the bungalow im moving to has a combi boiler in the loft. I am 63 and unable to go in a loft, is it possible to move the boiler into a cupboard near the front door. I have no idea what the regs are.

Hi Sandra There should be no need for you to access the boiler unless your a gas safe registered engineer,I presume you have all you controllers,i.e. Timers and stats ect at floor level.its perfectly safe to have a boiler in the loft as long as it's been installed to gas safe regs All the best Justin

Hi Sandra, Combi Boiler In Loft Is Perfectly Fine, However I See How Getting Access To The Boiler Could Be a Problem, Incase You need To Top Up The Heating Systems Pressure After Venting Your Radiators Ect. Moving a Combi Boiler is Relatively Easy and Positioning In a More Practical Place Should Be Fine, There Will Be Places In which The Boiler Can Not Be Installed For Gas Reg Reasons, But a Competent Gas Safe Registered Installer Will Be Able To Inform You When Quoting. Good Luck With The Move! Cameron The Posh Plumbers
