Tiling a kitchen floor

Posted by paul massey, on
We have an early 50's property. We are just about to tile the floor, the floor has a concrete slab with no dpm. We removed the existing floor which was of hardwood construction. when doing so we found the floor fitters had painted a black bitumen coating but 90% of this has come off during the removal of the floor. The floor shows no sign of moisture while its been open to air. Will I need to paint another dpm before laying the ceramic tiles or will the concrete sealer and tile cement and tiles be enough of a moisture barrier.
