POWERMAX 155x boiler and SELECT wireless thermostat

I have changed the AA batteries in the SELECT wireless room thermostat fixed to the wall. This seems to messed up our POWERMAX 155x boilers' programming. Now the heating comes on when the hot water is on even though the central heating is switched off on the boiler's own programmer. Can you help? Any suggestions?
