Combi boiler install

Posted by Gordon Stewart, on
New combi boiler install. The ventilation pipe that goes outside that the steam escapes from, also has a constant drip which runs down my wall discolouring the render. I presume this shouldn't happen as it doesn't happen to my neighbours with similar heating. Will this stop once the system is "run in" or is the ventilation pipe maybe too short as I have external cladding? Would like to know what installers need to do to resolve the issue.

Dear Gordon, Horizontal flue pipes should always be installed with a 1.5° fall from the terminal to allow condensate to run back to the boiler. I hope that helps. Best
