Had a new boiler installed ( conventional) and we have a one pipe heating system. We have newHive thermostat . Without old boiler controls we were told that the water had to be on to put heating on . Ie can’t have heating without water on . Is that the case , as we did put just the heating on but seemed to take all the hot water?
