The boiler won't stop heating the hot water even when the controller ON time expires. The only way to stop it is to turn off at the mains. After waiting several hours the boiler can be restarted without it going straight back into water heating mode. The central heating (to radiators) appears to be unaffected (i.e. turns on and off as expected)
