There are droplets of water coming from about the red tap valve, on top of that the boilers pressure is 1.2 but low pressure light is flashing an I have no heating or hot water

Dog has chewed the controller and one of the jumper connectors is missing. Can I get a replacement. Would it be this simple to repair?

Hi, our home is 96 years old. We have a standard gas boiler at least 45 years old. We recently had 5 estimates for a replacement. After doing over 15 hours of on line homework with the companies and boiler options, I am more confused than ever. 4 recommend 75,000 btu, 1 says 96,000 but. I have narrowed it down to the Burnham 204NI-G2 or Williamson GWA070-N-T-S2 because I feel most comfortable with this installer. Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have had 5 new radiators installed and a towel rail in a bungalow and all new associated pipework. I also had a new cylinder and pump installed. Some of the radiators get warm at the top and not the bottom and a couple get warm at the bottom but not the top. The towel rail gets warm at the top but not as hot at the top. We have bled them and it helps for a few days only. The plumber has said it is air and it should settle down but its been 3 weeks since the last work was done. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? I have a conventional boiler. Thanks

Hi, I have an adey magnaclean filter (red bottom, black top). I have the filter accessory to open the top and have bled valve but can’t get it open. I’ve turned on the boiler the turner it off to try and loosen it but no go. It’s stuck and I don’t want to force it in case I break it. Any advice? It was already installed when I moved in.

We have a carbon monoxide detector and every time we put the gas hob on, the carbon monoxide detector goes off unless we open the door after a few minutes. The extractor fan doesn’t work so could be an issue with this - or a gas leak? Any advice on who to get to see this/fix the problem would be appreciated.

A few years ago, our boiler constantly needed re pressurising. After several months, we decided to replace the boiler but the replacement is now doing the same. We can't find any visible leaks in the radiators or pipe work. The radiators are red hot to touch. A few years ago, we did have a leak in our cold water mains pipe. I'm just wondering whether that would have an affect on the boiler pressure if the leak hadn't been repaired properly. I can't check the leak as its under a concrete floor. If it would have an effect on the boiler, I will use this as a starting point. Thanking you in advance, Alison

I am a heating engineer and stop doing gas 2 years back. I have now passed my gas safe again and looking to win jobs from Rated people as i previously did. However I am concerned regarding the current pricing uses. I am find landlords certificate for boiler, rated people charge between £11-17 plus vat. Some of jobs posted like annual service and landlords only fetch on average between 40 ti £60 which is making bidding at times not fee sable and overpriced. So customer has to be charged an inflated rate sometime just to cover costs. This cost as more than doubled in last couplets of yea r??

How do I find out how to deal with a boiler engineer who failed miserably. I need to know in which areas he is listed

I had a new Worcester Greenstar Ri boiler installed in May 2015 and they took my old manual Honeywell thermostat away and replaced it with a Netatmo S+HARK Thermostat, the engineer did all the setting up on my Smartphone and it worked fine, turning it on and off when I was away from home, until I changed my Broadband provider from PlusNet to EE a few weeks later and had to let my new EE WiFi router find my other things like the TV, the printer which it did but when I tried to find my Netatmo thermostat I got a message saying it couldn't then connect to the server, it kept saying cant find the server no matter what I tried, so have had to use the thermostat manually ever since by pressing up and down to adjust room temperature, but lately it switches itself off at various times in the day and at night and in the mornings it is still off and I have a cold house. I have tried communicating with the helplines back in 2015 when it started doing this cant connect thing but I never understood the directions I was emailed. They have no phone helpline! Please could someone quote what it would cost to send an electrician to connect my thermostat back to the wifi? Thank you. I'm a pensioner so I don't really understand their instructions and the technology. I have no idea what the password was as the engineer set it up. I lost all the App off the smartphone when it was hacked and was reset to factory settings so have managed to reload the Netatmo App back on yesterday. Thank you.

In our basement there is a round duct pipe coming from the furnace that blows heat when the furnace is running but is open ended and does not connect to the large square ducting that supplies the heat registeres ... does it serve a purpose? Is it supposed to be this way? It seems a lot of heat is being directed to the basement without supplying the upstairs registers.

Old CH system htg on all day water 1 hour...would it cost more to run water as long as htg tank in roof and one in airing cupboard
