Are builders, plasterers etc asbestos trained?

I know someone who is getting loft conversion carried out. They are pulling out and replacing things like plaster, water tank, insulation etc. Do these people have asbestos training? Can I take their word for it if they say there is no asbestos present in the property?

to remove asbestos you need a special license if u think u have asbestos u need to get a specialist firm in to remove it if in doubt get it checked do not take anybodies word
