Loft conversion

Posted by Chris Lynch, on
I have a house that already has an existing mezzanin area but we had to put the ceiling back for completion, I now wish to remove part of the ceiling and create a larger mezzanin area with full staircase access from bedroom below. Do I need an architect to draw up plans and get planning permission? if so, can one loft company do all of the paperwork and work?

Yes I'm almost sure that that would be very possible but make sure they are recommended or. Reputable firm and get three quotes and never pay any money up front most loft companies have there own guys who they use to draw up plans and with stairs you need planning and if not then it would require building control hope this helps
