Woodchip ceilings

Posted by Heather Kelly, on
I am moving house next week and keen to get rid of wood chip ceilings in two rooms. Would you recommend trying to remove this ourselves? and if so do you have any suggestions on what is best? Do you think it would be easier/cheaper to put up board and plaster? The rooms are approx 5x3.4m and 3x3.4m - a rough idea of cost would be much appreciated?

Hi Heather, Wood chip can be tough and a bit of a pain to get off at the best of times, so maybe look at re-plaster boarding the ceilings and then skimming them. That however depends on if you have coving and if you wish to keep it but it's difficult to tell without actually visually seeing it. Kind Regards Andre Andre Toumany
