What thickness plasterboard is recommended for ceilings?

What thickness of p-plasterboard should I use for a new ceiling in the living room and kitchen. Is 9.5 mm strong enough or I should go for 12.5 mm or 15 mm?

You should use the 12.5 plaster board as this will work best
