I have a bay window, it will need skimming, but I have hacked out parts of the wall, do I use bonding or hardwall plaster before having it skimmed.

Hello I would say don't use bonding or hardwall for the bay window , use sand and cement with added sikka 1 to the mix to prevent damp and moisture issues in the future.
