Do I need to replace a single pipe heating system to have a new boiler fitted?

the system will never work properly on a single pipe system ,if it a large system you will find the rads at the end of the run will not get hot enough , the boiler will keep coming on and off due to it over heating because it cant get the heat away fast enough , hence why the 2 pipe system will work much better

It is not absolutely necessary but definitely recommended as a two pipe system is far more efficient and heats alot quicker.

Hi. you do not need to change the pipe work, but your system wood be 100% better if you did change to a two pipe system. Regards Steve

Single pipe systems do not work as well as a modern twin pipe-system. You could have a look around and see if there is a make of boiler that you can configure to work on a single pipe set-up.
