Draining water tank before Combi installed

Posted by Linda Clay, on
I recently had a combi boiler and rads installed to replace the immersion heater and storage heaters, the plumber has left 2 full tanks of water in the loft should these have been drained, he left a comment on the invoice to get these drained re danger of Legionnaires disease

Hi Linda Yes both tanks should be drained and removed. Sometimes when combi boilers are fitted some people just leave the cold water tank feeding the bathroom but I would advise for it to be switched over to mains and get rid of the tanks completely. Thanks Shaun
