To repair the piping

Posted by Nicola Campbell, on
If compression nuts have been fitted at the bottom of the radiator in the cement and these are not suitable for draining what work is necessary to fix the piping so it won’t leak again

Using joints of this type should not have put in a concrete floor I’m assuming there is a leak or has been And you do not have a drain off tee above floor My solution would be to cut out the surrounding Concrete and then remove offending joint and have it replaced with a soldered one. ( elbow) Also to have fitted a drain for future maintenance Regards mike barnett Sussex coast carpentry
