Stench pipe removal

Hello! I've recently had my bathroom renovated and the builders removed my stench pipe. They installed an air admittance valve onto the toilet and said that would do the job. My house is at the end of terrace and I just wanted to check that this will be okay? Am I going to start getting bad smells and sewage gasses in my house??
