Floor Tiling; Packing out?

Posted by Anthony Willis, on
Hallway to flat is going to be tiled. Width across is 834mm. Planning on buying tiles that are 200mm. If you lay four tile across plus 4mm of grout between them, you've got 812mm. leaving 11mm space either side. How would this space be filled/packed out; Would grouting 11mm be the only option, or are there any other ways that would allow for a nice finish? (I'm assuming you wouldn't cut thin slithers of tile)

Hi Antony Yes you would cut tiles at 11mm this is easily achieved with a good powered tile cutter, you can get good cheap ones for about £40 £50 Kind regards Ian Handyman express
