Leaking shower

Can I apply caulking or new grout over the shower walls without removing the old grout?

Hi. You can silicone over old grout and grout over as well. Just remove any loose or cracking grout first.

Hello It depends on how bad the old grouting is - If it has holes and gaps and is discoloured then you should scrape as much out as possible before replacing with new grout. If you mean to also do the silicon sealant around the ages of the bath/shower door then yes you absolutely must remove all the old sealant before replacing. If not then you will never get a good watertight seal. Hope this helps Stephen
