Double glazing

Posted by Steve Kelly, on
What can be done regarding a company listed here who has no certification, a worthless guarantee, and building control will not sign off because of appalling standard of installation ?

John Kevin Atree

hi steve hopefully you have not paid for the job? a guarantee should be registered with fenca or a few other glass and glazing federations, also if you have problems with this have you asked the company to return and put all problems right? I would advise asking the company to return to correct all works followed by an official company ie fenca etc to inspect on completion, if no joy a threat of trading standards should work

on top of what the other 2 have said if you do not get a reply from the company that did the work then put a rating on his site so other people know what they are going to get if they set him on

Hello Steve, Report them to this site, after all you was recommended/introduced to them from this site. I'm sure that there is a law now that if you recommend someone and it all goes pear shape they are responsible. (Look it up). It makes me mad when I hear of this, it's just not on Good luck Regards Michael

If he is still trading the get a independant survey done, any sub standard work that fails inspection should be put right by the contractor,if not stick him in court.Name and shame him too !
