Change an external window to French door

Posted by Chanda Jethwa, on
We want to convert an external window into a patio/French door. There is a heater by this window so the pipe will need to be cut back as it is visible then a new heater in a new position. Do you see any problems with our changes? Also would a plumber be required to redo the heater or could whoever is installing the door do the pipe and heater work?

BARRY MOORES

Hi Chanda Normally the builder who removes the window and cuts the brick work out and fits the new French doors employs a plumber on your behalf, along with other trades i.e plasterer. electrician . You would require two l10 steel lintels if none above window.. Kind regards Barry

Dear Chanda There should not be a problem to move radiator . Multitrade skilled person should be able to do all for you . I would suggest to post your job description on main website then 3 companies will contact you to discuss details about a job. I hope this will help Best regards Rafal
