Hi There is no scrappage scheme , some company's use that as a reason to discount there product , how ever some times you can get money for the windows you are taking out , such as scrapping the Ali windows to a scrap metal company or re cycling PVC ones how ever this would only amount to a few quid not the 1000s that some of these company's claim When replacing your windows always get 2/3 quotes to make sure you are not paying too much or too little but to also make sure you are getting a good product at a good price , too many people think the only way to know they have a good deal is by the cheapest price , but very often the reason why it is cheap is because the product is not good , how ever you can pay way over the odds with some of the national company's , not because it's a better product but simply the layers of management they have that all need a cut Make sure you get your quote in writing & avoid finance packages they offer they are not a good way to borrow money & use a certas or fensa registered company and ask about the energy rating of your window Tim harris Md Cinda windows

Hi Stephen, No there is no window scrappage scheme this will be a companies promotional offer. I would think it best to get three quotes view samples and decide who you would like to invest your money with. It is advisable to create a tick list as follows. 1/ Sample 2/ Advise 3/ Price 4/ The company 5/ Payment options 6/ Guarantees 7/ Fenca Registration or equivalent Hope this helps with your decision. as far as im aware just a bit of a spin, they add on the amount your being discounted befor they quote so by the time you get your "scrappage" its back to where it would have been, think about it, who would give you thousands for throwing away your old windows?

Hello Steven, I've never heard of this and I think it's most unlikely. Go onto the internet it will tell you there. Regards Michael

If your referring to one of the big companies offer at the time I imagine it would be a ploy like buy one get one free etc etc price is usually inflated unless u sign up today kind of thing Regards Scott Weathertech
