Hello Claire, I'm Robert from Saddleworth Window Outlet. It sounds like your conservatory has been there for quite some time. Somebody would have to have a good look at the conservatory. Conservatories should be perfectly sealed between each frame, and then the frames to the roof. There should be no need for any sealants when the conservatory was erected. The roof should also have lead flashing up against the house wall protecting the vulnerable area between the house and the conservatory. If the frames have moved and/or the roof over time, there may be gaps where water can ingress. If this is the case, you may attempt to seal the gaps, however, over the longer term, these problems will most likely reoccur. To be perfectly honest, if your budget allows, I would be looking to replace the old conservatory entirely and start afresh. If the base, walls and foundations are in good order, you may only have to replace the frames and roof. You need to have an experienced conservatory installer have a look at this for you. Most reputable companies would do this for free and provide you with a quotation for renewing what was necessary and maybe give you some options. We ourselves have been installing conservatories for over 15 years, and nowadays, conservatory systems have improved no end, especially the roofs and the variety of options that are available to you. Hope this helps Rob Saddleworth Window Outlet
