Do I need someone with FENSA accred (if that's the right expression!)

Posted by suzanne rose, on
I have just asked a question about needing our patio doors refitting - not replacing - and have just been advised by a local building firm that we need someone with FENSA accreditation (or something) to do that job. Is that right?

Hi Suzanne If you are just refitting existing doors you don't need a FENSA registered installer as they are not brand new so the local authority does not have to be informed but I would highly recommend that you do choose a FENSA registered installer as they are most likely going to be better installers as they are used to the relevant rules & regulations and "good practice guidelines". Hope this helps. Sam (eps)

Hi Suzanne No you do not need any involvement with fensa for this job. Kind regards Ian
