I am thinking of double glazing a number of windows with secondary glazing. The existing single pane ones are mostly in good shape so don't need replacing but I'm keen to reduce noise pollution, drafts and heat loss during winter. I have heard only bad things about double glazing companies, indeed the term "double glazing salesman" has become a by-word for dodgy sales tactics. Therefore is there any advice you could give about how to approach this matter and also any good suppliers and fitters that could be recommended. I have posted some jobs on here already but so far the replies and follow up (one appointment already a no-show without even an apology or text) fills me with dread.
