Works been done without first obtaining building regulations approva;

Posted by Dave Nicolson, on
I've had 2 external door ways blocked up and turned into windows and had another window taken out and turned into a door. The builder says if I want a building regulations certificate that the works been done right I need to request this myself. I doubt I'll be able to get the builder in to explain/show his work. Is this correct am I likely to be in trouble for not notifying and obtaining approval first?

You would need to speak to your local building control dept at the council they would come out and inspect and then may or may not give you the certificate for the works

What would you like to do now?
