How can I know if the Conservatory need to be taken down?

Posted by KHALED BEDDA, on
How can I know if the Conservatory can be fixed or need to be taken down ? There are leaks from conservatory which marked the wall . It is timber frame outbuilding attached to the rear with a pitched polycarbonate roof. External joinery is also in timber and is single glazed. The floor is of suspended timber. Flashings to the roof are defective and may cause water to enter to the building. Rainwater goods are also in need of some repair/replacement. it should be thoroughly overhauled and repaired There are vines growing through the wall and causing damp issues, the roof has several holes and this is causing a leak, the window are stuck shut, some are screwed shut and are starting to rot.

It sounds like trying to refurb this conservatory could cost a lot of money , perhaps it's had its day and should be removed. This is only an opinion as I've not seen it but as you have said it doesn't seem in very good shape,
