You can but there is people who do double glazing repairs it's a simple process that you can get the job done your self what I do is snap the handle if it's locked and the the windows open the just replace it with a new one also don't throw the old handle away you maybe able to re use the spindle in the old handle due to different sized spindles hope this helps thank you
