Double Glazing problems

Posted by Lesley Duncan, on
We have had 13 windows double glazed and the windows have had to be taken out and put back to fit shooting bolts there are splatter marks on the frames through dirt in the sprayer-these have been covered up with a"pen"there are sharp edges on the joints the windows aren't square and the mitre joints don't meet. The double glazing company has tried to remedy these faults many times but we can't have them back any more.It has been going on for weeks. Are we within our rights to ask for a reduction in the cost of the windows ?

Hi Ian If the window are not to your satisfaction then you could negotiate a price reduction. Take pictures of all the problems and bullet point them in an email to the company that supplied the windows Try not to remedy anything yourself or your guarantee will become invalid
