Shah was so reliable, experienced and polite. He made suggestions that helped us without pressuring us into anything or imposing on us. The work was all carried out as agreed quickly and he worked long days to get it all done. The changes we made were added onto our bill at the end and were far lower than I had been expecting. Quoted on our work, which was accepted and deposit paid. Then four weeks out from the agreed start date, said he'd forgotten to include costs for a full roof replacement (hip to gable extension) so it would be almost £30,000 more than the original price. We could not move forward, and £2,500 of our deposit was not returned to us as steels had already been purchased and cut (but he refused to connect us with the supplier so we could retain these for use in our project).

Please avoid. There were problems from start to finish, including quoting for work that was later not carried out and repeatedly claiming not to understand what had been agreed. The standard of work was very poor and has been done so badly that it cannot be fixed and will need to be removed and redone at my own expense. From what I can see, the issues are significant, and I’m also concerned that the associated plumbing work may have been affected, although I can’t yet say to what extent.

My husband accepted and paid your bill at the time it is only subsequently that we have found out from others that this was an excessive amount to be charged for this work. Our mistake was not getting a number of quotes before instructing you to do the work. We will not make this mistake again.
