Hi my name is Craig from C Williams Electrical & Renovation Services Ltd. I started out as a self-employed electrician in the early 90's working for local electrical companies and Bristol Council. I soon advanced to getting my own work through renovation companies and kitchen and bathroom companies. Whilst working for these companies I began to learn other trades to assist my working day like plastering, decorating and kitchen and bathroom fitting. Initially I carried this work to save time waiting for other tradesmen to arrive but soon became part of my working day, this saved me time and I return saved the customers time and money On my bigger projects I bring in the necessary trades that I have a close working relationship with but on a day to day basis it's just myself and my son who is training as an electrician. Previously a Production Engineer, but decided to change to a job that was more hands on with a good social connection. I chose building work – so I have a good balance of technical skills and practical skills gained over many year of working on Builds. My first two builds were complete builds from the ground up, so I had to seek out and get trades on-site to complete work I didn’t have the skills for. Over time I have carried out all sorts of work over the past few years from Setting out a site, Groundworks, Blockwork, Construction, Timber work/studding, Plaster boarding, Fitting kitchens and Bathroom, as well as Wooden Flooring and Tiling, and of course decorating. I leave plumbing, electrical work and plastering to the trades ( and have good contacts ) – but I have a good eye for detail but enjoy fitting kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting, and painting.
