The job was posted on 22nd July 2025 and Wade Ellis of Ellis Roofing And Building Ltd responded 2 days later. After a survey, I received a quote on 26th July, which was accepted. A skip arrived on 29th July and the work commenced next day. The job was completed on 1st August. The bricklayer and his female trainee assistant got on with the job without any fuss, and they were very pleasant to deal with. The aim of the project has been delivered and I am very happy with the result. I recommend them. 5 stars!

Luke gave a decent quote for some roof, paving & fence work. What they did complete was good, but they did not finish the job. Communication was very frustrating and I had to constantly chase for updates. I stupidly paid the full balance after the garden was complete, but before the roof work was. It's now 9 weeks on & despite repeated assurances that they will come back (and me offering a further £200 to complete the roof work), I do not believe they intend to return. 3/5

If I could change to Zero I would. Once they did the job, took the money they have blanked all requests to check a snagging issue. One window sill leaking, have called, texted and just getting fobbed off on last call they said they would call back in 5 minutes - that was 3 days ago….. #Avoid

I cannot recommend Steve and his amazing tradesman We went from being offered a ridiculously low settlement by the insurance to eventually having a completely new downstairs including new floors,electrics and kitchen Steve is also able to navigate you through the insurance process including emergency accommodation and disturbance allowance. Don't hire - he quotes price (that then increases once he's started work), doesn't show up for weeks on end - despite promises to come, Then, after payment, disappears and ghosts the customer leaving the job unfinished - AVOID!

I employed Matt to install a new bathroom. I was very disappointed in the finishing of the tiling (uneven, rough grouting, chipped tiles). The sink was installed after the tiles were fitted therefore the sink was not plumb - silicone was used to fill the large gap between sink and tiles - messy! Nice lads, but poor workmanship.
