I was looking for a plasterer to do my son's room before painting it and so was confused when James approached me for the job. He is a decorator. He said that plastering the walls was unnecessary because my walls were "90% there". He said filling, sanding and painting them would save me money and time so I agreed to hire him. We confirmed the price and scope of works in writing and he confirmed back to start and finish over the bank holiday. Our client had arranged to stay elsewhere. The day before he was due to start, he cancelled with a lame excuse. Totally left us looking very stupid and the client very upset. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.
