Howdens flat-pack kitchen installation with full design provided. 5-day job agreed, but arrogant attitude, references to “bigger jobs in Fulham,”. Issues dismissed but I should be grateful for his time and price. I did not negotiate his price. Claims “out of scope” items e.g. tall larder unit, integrated bin, drawer under oven. Incomplete work: door panel not fitted, tall larder shelf not installed, base unit wrongly placed, units with gaps. Waste left. Kitchen messy. Paid to leave.

Miroslaw is an exceptionally good builder. He installed a team in my house within about a week, they worked incredibly hard (and cleaned up nightly) and delivered top-notch work. He's totally reasonable about the quote, we added a few things on as we went with a quick agreement about the price change - none of the headaches that you normally have with builders. Mixed experience. I've never had anyone work on my house who shows such a lack of respect for my property. Despite being asked 3 times to be careful and to cover plants, etc, our garden was trampled and rubbish, including nails, scattered everywhere. We had to spend several hours clearing up after they had finished. This attitude showed up in the work too, some of which needed redoing. End result is OK; I still think it could have been neater
