Stefan arrived promptly at 7.45 am as promised. First he measured the variation in the floor level as well as the roughness of the finished surface. He agreed that a 5mm coating would produce a smooth finish but that I would need twice as much screed to properly level the floor. Apparently he plenty of screed ( Ardex) in his van. He quickly prepared the site by sweeping and vacuuming it clean, then primed the floor and mixed the screed. This was spread evenly and finished inside an hour. Good job done.

Seb was polite, professional and clean in his working method. He installed engineered wood flooring in one room (approx 15 sq metres), which included taking off the skirting boards, laying underlay and flooring then the skirting back on (with one new length of skirting). So I've been in carpentry since I left school and all other aspects of the building trade.
