I have concerns about the validity of this contractor; I have been advised by an independent contractor that the work is of a poor standard and will need to be rectified. I also have evidence of dishonesty. He told me he needed extra money to replace wooden battens but refused to provide a receipt. Ii have security cameras and it was clear that he had not delivered them. The following day he said that his contractors had 'cut off the rotten bits' and used concrete. I am taking legal action.

This is an effective, no-frills, reasonably priced outfit. They replaced my house extension 4mx4m flat roof with a new felt flat roof. I was impressed by the speed of response to my job posting, with a site visit on the same day and the work done a few days later in one day. The workmen were skilled and diligent and produced a good-looking product, clearing up afterwards. I paid the original price quoted, with no additional surprise items. No problems have arisen in the week since, despite storms.

We are very pleased with the work that was done. There was a quick response to the job that day via a telephone call. An appointment was scheduled for a couple of days later and the work was started early that day & completed that same day. The workers were on time, polite, knowledgeable and proficient. They promised to make a visit a week later to remove the supportive structure and did exactly so yesterday. I am very pleased with the work and their professionalism.. i highly recommend them. From initial no pressure quote which was the most reasonable by far out of all the quotations received, to the tradesmen who were extremely polite, tidy and completed all the work in a professional manner and on time and finally to the followup aftercare service provided by the foreman to make sure all was well and leak free (which we were and still are) and even arranged to fit and replace a few loose and broken tiles outside of the original agreed job. Job executed correctly, although quote was very high compared to few others I got after John completed it. During the work, John dropped a hammer from the ladder by mistake, which ended up damaging my neighbor property. I had to call him back once I saw the hammer in my neighbor front yard and found the smashed pieces in the front. Despite various promises of replacing/fixing/paying some compensation, it's been now 2 months and John stopped replying me. Not professional at all

Leighton recently completed a variety of work on our roof, including replacing all battens, installing membrane lining, lead flashing and re-bedding ridge tiles. He is a pleasant, reliable, knowledgeable and efficient worker, also an excellent communicator and problem solver. He and his team always left the site tidy at the end of each day. When a small issue occurred some weeks later, he came the same morning and sorted it out immediately. We thoroughly recommend him for any roofing/gutter work.
